This challenging medium route has plenty to offer the more experienced sportive rider. The iconic surroundings of the Victorian Queens Park, gives you the feel of a “Grand Depart” of a major tour event. After a steady ‘roll out’ from Crewe, you find yourself meandering around quiet country lanes of Cheshire, warming your legs up for the first challenge of the day, Mow Cop after just 20 miles. You then find yourself taking on multiple crests climbing onto Biddulph Moor and onto the edge of the Peak District.
After 25 miles of punishing hills we go easy on you, bringing you back into the rolling countryside of Cheshire for a steady spin into Crewe where you will be greeted by an atmospheric event village, offering warm drinks, hot food and a stiff drink for those in need of a pint!
