Velo29 bring you their first Ultra Sportive, The Yorkshire Beast, possibly the toughest ride in the UK. With over 200 Miles and 5000m of climbing, only the strongest will survive!
Starting in the idyllic surroundings of the Camp Hill Estate near Bedale and only 5 minutes from the A1 where camping, bar and food options will be available for the nights either side of the event. You can take on the challenge of cycling both the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Moors all in one day.
Feed and Massage stations will be found every 35 miles along the route, each offering a different selection of foods to keep your energy levels in the right place so you can ride to your maximum capacity.
You will find yourself taking on some of Yorkshire’s greatest cycling climbs, Boltby Bank, Glaisdale Horror, Rosedale Chimney, Park Rash, Flow Edge and finally up out of Reeth on to Grinton Moor.
On return to Camp Hill, grab a beer and collapse.
This isn’t a ride for the feint hearted and we recommend that you can ride very long distances whilst maintaining an average of 15mph or more.
You can expect great support along the way but make sure you stay ahead of the Beast, he’ll chew you up and spit you out for breakfast!
