This new Ripon Tour Short route is a really lovely ride in some fine Yorkshire scenery on what we hope will be a wonderful mid-summer day!

At 71.9km and 497m of vert it’s intended to be a peach of a ride. Plenty of time to cruise around these lovely little lanes, enjoy some of the wonderful villages and take in this great part of the World from the relative comfort of a bike saddle!

We reach the well stocked feed stop at Thornton Watlass after 32km where pies, sarnies, brownies and a Yorkshire Brew await! We are celebrated for our feed stops, as well as our great route signage, rider support and the wonderful atmosphere you find at any Velo29 Sportive.

A few lumps after the feed but nothing too dramatic. Then it’s mostly downhill back to Thirsk where we’ll be waiting on the finish line with your Erdinger alkoholfrei, hot BBQ sausage and a great medal!
