Le Tour de Moor Profile

Le Tour de Moor 3D view

Le Tour de Moor is a super challenge route with over 11,000ft of climbing and 100 miles of riding!
In 2014 we wanted to add something special to celebrate the Tour de France Yorkshire depart, hence the name “Le Tour de Moor”.
It’s an revision to the old Endeavour Long route with 2 additional significant climbs added. The new climb up Egton Cliff is long and tough and we’ve got the climb of Blakey Bank from the Daffodils long route into the mix! It’s one of the toughest rides out there and some sorry soles returned after a long day in the saddle last year.
Just glancing at the route profile suggests what kind of ride this is, it looks like the teeth of a saw! The climbs of the North Yorkshire Moors are some of the toughest in the UK and we’ve worked to string together a varied selection of them in this ride.
Seasoned Sportive riders will love this one as their mid-summer challenge. Many returned last year claiming “tougher than the Fred Whitton” and the hardest ride they had done!
3 feed zones (plus water stops) keep you topped up, they are well placed too. We’ve got Motorbikes out there to help resolve any mechanical issues, the last thing you want is to abandon after 80 miles!
Tough, a challenge, the hardest ride out there? For sure though it’s the most wonderful scenery you’ll ever see in 105 miles and one you’ll remember at the end of the season!
