Departing from Murton to the east of the York, you will head toward the historic city, crossing the River Ouse using the Millennium Bridge and then cycling past The Knavesmire; York’s famous racecourse before you head onto some stunning country roads in the direction of Leeds.

A major headline on this long route is our visit to Harewood House. Harewood hosted the Grand Depart of the 2014 Tour de France and is spectacular to cycle through the grounds. Here we have been granted permission to host a feed station so you can enjoy a bite to eat and a warm drink in view of the magnificent house.

Now real test then begins as you will head to the hills with 2652ft of climbing (and descent) in 25miles as you cycle past the Fewston & Swainsty Reservoirs. At 60.5m (97.3km) you will cycle past the iconic Alsmcliffe Crag before heading back to Harewood House for a second feed stop.

Here you will head along the main driveway on your way back to York, with the last 20miles almost pan flat, you will be able to put the hammer down.
