The Monday before the sportive at 6pm, you will receive a ‘Get Ready’ email which contains information about the sportive.
On Tuesday at 10am, you will receive an ‘Act Now’ email which contains the links you need to obtain your rider number and booking reference in order to complete the Pre-Event Questionnaire and Book a Time Slot.
Booking opens from 10am Tuesday until 18:00 Thursday. This is ESSENTIAL to ride.
It is vitally important that you remain subscribed to our emails. However, copies will also be uploaded to our FB page which you do not need a FB account to access.

The 5 Dales is BACK!
Back on the calendar again! The popular 5 Dales Sportive!
Another tough velo29 ride! The 5 Dales is a big day out on all 3 routes. The new short isn’t brutal but it does have some great climbs. Medium and Long are tough! At almost 200km the Long is right up there with The Tour of The Peak! A dizzy 3,155m of vert too!
The 141km Medium is probably our toughest Medium route ride.
Depart Richmond School at 7:00am and take on this brutal event. New riders are always amazed at what a wonderful route this is. We take in all kinds of scenary in this huge circuit of the Yorkshire Dales. There are no low-lands, all of the event is up and down The Dales.
All the roads are quiet and the views wonderful. Often the weather is changable on such a varied and vast course.
The long route has the enjoyable addition of the Fleetmoss loop which also includes the Buckden climb, long and steep in places!
It’s not an event we run every year so don’t miss it in 2026!
