This new medium route at 1,672m is right in the middle of difficulty in the Velo29 medium route catalogue.

The ride out to the first stop of Fewston is a gradual but never too steep uphill pedal, twisting through lovely country lanes.

After the Fewston Breakfast Feed stop things get a bit more serious! We’ve got 8km uphill from Blubber Houses all the way to the top of Greenhow Hill Top, 1,300ft above sea level! We’ve never been up Greenhow that way; it’s a long and not that steep drag.

From there it’s a rapid descent to Patley Bridge and a lumpy ride over Glass Houses and Summer Bridge back to the 2nd stop at Fewston.

Once fed, we’ve got a little sting to Bland Hill, a gorgeous descent to Lindley, around the water and a drag up to Alnscliff Crag. Downhill, then all the way back to Kirk Deighton and a brilliant new finishers’ medal!
