NEW and one time only, TDF Stage 2 Sportive, Avec CAMS.
Take in all the excitement ahead of the 2027 Tour de France Grand Départ here in the UK! An amazing 1 off Sportive with 4 routes taking in all the climbs of Stage 2.
Limited to 1,000 places, don’t miss your chance for a slice of the TDF action and to ride with the CAMS ambassadors!
The Medium and Long routes pick up the TDF route just South of Lancashire as we head south, just in time for the major climbs! Of the 3 stages in the UK the riding from Lancaster to Waddington is going to be some of the most exciting and dictate who wears yellow on stage 3! There are 3 major climbs in the space of 20 dramatic miles in stunning scenery! Both Medium and Long take in this section.
Our 100 mile long route takes in all the climbs of the TDF Stage 2: Cote de Jubilee Tower, Cote de Trough of Bowland, Cote de Waddington Fell and Cote de Belmont. We avoid Cote de Parbold as we don’t feel it is a suitable piece of road and not a very exciting climb. With 3 feed stops to keep you going along the way at 20/ 45/ 70 miles.
The 66 mile medium follows the Long out to Lancaster, then takes in Cote de Jubilee Tower, Cote de Trough of Bowland and Cote de Waddington Fell before heading back to Preston from Longbridge. 2 feed stops at 20 and 45 miles.
Short and Spin are designed for riders not wanting to take in the huge climbs but be part of the TDF experience. You’ll get to ride on some wonderful roads, meet and ride with CAMS ambassadors, enjoy a great feed stop and really feel part of the celebrations that the Grand Depart brings.
The Spin is a gradual rise up to the halfway point, never too steep. At 20 km, it’s downhill all the way back to Preston.
All routes are fully supported with medics and mechanical assistance. We install 100s of route arrows to keep you on track; the feed stops are awesome, with fresh food as well as nutrition from HIGH5. At the finish, we have a BBQ sausage bun and a chilled can of Erdinger Alcohol Free Beer. You don’t get that on the TDF!
