As always at Velo29, the long represents a full day out on the bike but explores all this great cycling area has to offer. The first 100km are initially with Medium and Short, then with just Medium so you’ll feel like the roads are nicely busy with fellow Female Riders.
Every mile in Femme Cheshire is a good one. We really worked and took help from local knowledge to put these routes together. You’ll really be surprised how good the routes are. Villages, quiet roads, farms (even a few farm yards!) and hardly a car in sight.
By design, it’s a flat route, 6.9m vert for every km. For measure 10m per km is a tough route so we really aren’t riding up mountains in this one.
The long enjoys the Norton in Hale loop which we are told is possibly the best part of the ride. Worth the extra miles for this really lovely part of Cheshire. We even dodge many of the potholes that the Cheshire Cat ‘enjoys’.
This will be our 2nd Female Only Sportive and we think it will be a really popular awesome event, we can’t wait to see you on the Start Line.
