What to Expect in a Velo29 Sportive
The latest exciting Sportive from Velo29, Sportive X!
Ride a combination of on and off road on some of Yorkshire’s most exciting trails. The course has been carefully put together to be rideable by Cyclo Cross, Gravel and Mountain Bikes. All the route is rideable, the split between on and off-road is approximately 50/50, when we are on-road though we are able to explore some fantastic roads which would normally be dead ends!
The Sportive is split into 7 road and 9 off-road sectors, much like Paris-Roubaix with the infamous cobbled sectors! Each sector is sign posted so you know where you are at all times. Vital should you need our support!
We’ve negotiated for 2 years with the Forestry Commission and land owners to be able to use these amazing pieces of off-road cycle ways. This really is a unique event on some of the best on and off-roads in the UK.
