The Monday before the sportive at 6pm, you will receive a ‘Get Ready’ email which contains information about the sportive.
On Tuesday at 10am, you will receive an ‘Act Now’ email which contains the links you need to obtain your rider number and booking reference in order to complete the Pre-Event Questionnaire and Book a Time Slot.
Booking opens from 10am Tuesday until 18:00 Thursday. This is ESSENTIAL to ride.
It is vitally important that you remain subscribed to our emails. However, copies will also be uploaded to our FB page which you do not need a FB account to access.
No entries on the day.

York – Leeds – York, the biggest cycle ride in Yorkshire!
2026 is set to be the biggest YLY in years. The event is always super popular with riders keen to get back to Sportive riding, see old friends and have an awesome day out as we say goodbye to the winter.
The routes are FLAT with the exception of the middle part of the Long ride, which has a few very tasty climbs.
Departing from Murton to the east of the York, you will head toward the historic city, crossing the River Ouse at the Millennium Bridge; then cycling past The Knavesmire, York’s famous racecourse before heading onto some stunning little country roads in the direction of Leeds.
There are 3 route choices, the short at 41 miles, the medium at 72 miles and the long at 111 miles.
There is a route choice to suit all abilities in this spring event, whether it’s your first sportive or you love a 100m challenge we have a route to suit you.
For 2026 we are using East Bardsey Feed Stop, as per 2025. A great feed and a route that works well. Medium stops there once, Long stop twice here.
