Stockton Festival 2022. Stockton Sportive, Youth Racing and Stockton Grand Prix. This year the Female and Male National Road Series will be filmed LIVE! Watch on the Big Screen at the Riverside.
The 10th year of Stockton Festival will see a repeat of the established format. In 2016 we hosted the National Time Trial and Road Race Championships and this year we are hosting the National Road Series for both Male and Female Riders.
Ride with us in the 35/ 70/ 104 mile Sportive on the Saturday and/ or head to the Riverside on Sunday for the amazing Festival. Watch the action from the races on the big screen and at the road side!
The weekend is delivered by Velo29 Stockton Council and British Cycling.
Stockton Grand Prix
The National Road Series is the highest standard of racing in the UK.
All the biggest names will descend upon Stockton-on-Tees, including Olympic and previous National Champions.
We will also be running a round of the UK National Female Road Race Series, see all the top female riders battle on the roads of Stockton and the surrounding area!
The circuit is the now established Grand Prix route. With a Riverside Grand Depart followed by a large loop to the North of the Town then returning to the Riverside for a nail-biting finish on the 5 mile circuit!
Part of a huge weekend of cycling, from Saturday’s Sportive and Sunday’s Festival it’s a “must-do” weekend for any cycling fan!
Most fans descend upon Stockton to enjoy the dramatic Grand Depart then follow the race out of Town to enjoy laps of the main circuit where the action will unfold. Then before the final lap head back to the Riverside to enjoy the finish.

Youth Racing
The Youth Racing, delivered by the excellent Stockton Wheelers Club is a very nice opening to the Sunday Festival day.
Racing on a short version of the closed road Riverside Circuit, the Youths can enjoy fast, safe and exciting racing in front of a large crowd.
All categories are well represented and it’s a great opportunity for the young riders to enjoy racing on the same circuit as the Grand Prix Pros’ will use later that day.
