The Monday before the sportive at 6pm, you will receive a ‘Get Ready’ email with all the information and links you need to complete the Pre-Event Questionnaire and Book a Time Slot.
Booking opens from 10am Tuesday until 18:00 Thursday. This is ESSENTIAL to ride.
Please collect rider packs from the HQ on your way to the start line.

We at Velo29 have been toying with the idea of a sportive ‘along the border’ for a few years now and looked at all the UK borders. We have great associations and fantastic customer support in the North West so decided on a Welsh / English event. Our cycling local links helped us refine the route to bring you this beauty.
The long is predominantly on quiet roads with a pan-flat profile apart from the ‘blip’ of Hope Mountain; the profile lends itself as a fantastic challenge to someone looking to break 100km’s. The route itself crosses the English / Welsh border 17 times and travels as far south as Northwood while taking in some remarkable little villages and the picturesque bridge crossing at Farndon. At only 80miles with 3000ft of climbing, this will be a great event to in September as the autumn approaches and the weather starts to turn.
